About Us
MI5 was originally formed in 2004, with it's focus on
Battlefield Vietnam as its main game. After a few months the clan had
accumulated more members and began to also play Counter Strike: Source as
well as Battlefield Vietnam.
In the summer of 2005, Battlefield 2 was released and even more people joined the clan. However, things started to break down after 1 year of MI5 both the Clan Leaders at the time left the clan and left it to RJW to keep the clan going or disband it. Then during the next year in 2006 new members began to join the clan again and eventually we got servers that became popular.
Towards the end of 2006 we decided to start playing Battlefield 2 Infantry matches in TWL. We slowly crept up the ladder rankings and at the beginning of 2007 we took the top spot of TWL. Throughout the next year we stayed in the TWL top 10 and came up against some good teams from Europe. Towards the end of 2007 BF2 started to become less popular in the clan and at the start of 2008 we made the decision to pull out of TWL.
In August 2008 we attended the i34 LAN with 11 members it was a fantastic event and a great way to meet up with members for the first time. We entered some tournaments and our greatest success at the LAN was the BF2 tournament where we gave some decent teams a challenge!
This year the clan has reached a milestone of 6 years since it began.
In August 2009 we attended the i37 LAN with 16 members once again it was a fantastic event and great fun. We again entered tournaments and we won the BF2 tournament!
In November 2009 5 members attended i38 and competed in BF2 with a mixed team of skill but eventually came 4th place
We look forward to attending many more iseries LANs in the future with even more members!
Whatever people say =[MI5]= is here to stay, we look forward to the future with many gaming hours and iseries together!
